Abstract
The prime requirement for accurate kinetic analysis is that the temperature of the system being studied remain stable over the course of the reaction. As Benson has pointed out, typical reactions around room temperature will have a maximum accuracy in the rate constant of ±0.1% when the temperature is known to ±0.01°C.
