Abstract

The direct-reading head of the 1.5-m Bausch & Lomb spectrometer was designed for a fixed analytical program. The setting up of such a program is a time-consuming and highly skilled task. Since it is essential that the program on our instrument be changed frequently, the original design was unsatisfactory from our point of view.
