Spectrochemical Analysis of Abrasive Materials

Abstract

Procurement standards for aluminum oxide abrasive feed rolls necessitated chemical analysis to determine the specification ranges. In addition it was hoped that some correlation between the chemical analysis and various physical tests could be obtained to improve the wear and strength of the rolls.
