Abstract

The dibenzoate ester of p-quinone dioxime (DBPQD) is used as a curing agent for certain butyl rubber formulations Infrared methods of analysis are described for the following determinations: 1) free p-quinone dioxime in DBPQD and its dispersions; 2) DBPQD in dispersions with rubber processing oil, wax, etc; and 3) DBPQD in uncured butyl rubber. Applications of the analytical methods are discussed
