Abstract

Molybdenum can be determined as an alloying constituent in uranium-molybdenum alloys by the point-to-plane spark method of spectrographic analysis. The method covers a concentration range of 1 to 5% molybdenum, and the precision at the 95% confidence level is ± 7%. Time required for the analysis of one sample is about fifteen min.
