Abstract

In the course of establishing a method for examining sediments for the concentration of V, Ti, Zr, Ni, Co, Sc, Cr, and La, marked matrix effects were associated with large variations in calcium content of the samples. This was not unexpected because the samples ranged from clays to calcium-rich globigerina ooze.
