Abstract

We present in this erratum a supplement to the review of experimental implementations of the Kramers–Kronig receiver in Section 20 of our paper [Adv. Opt. Photon. 11, 480 (2019) [CrossRef]  ] describing the work performed at Nokia Bell Labs, Germany. This addition does not affect to any extent the conclusions presented in the original paper.

1. Kramers–Kronig Receivers: Addendum

The following text should be included at the end of Section 20 of our review [1].

20.21. Nokia Bell Labs Germany

In Refs. [2] and [3] the authors show the most hardware-efficient implementation of the KK scheme (with a virtual carrier) as well as a careful implementation of the front-end correction before the KK processing. They also provide a comprehensive comparison between KK reception and iterative SSBI cancellation. In Ref. [4] they report the highest data rate per channel for any demonstrated KK scheme (510 Gb/s and a net data rate of 432 Gb/s) and in Ref. [5] they demonstrate the highest baudrate of a KK scheme using a single DAC per I/Q component. Finally, in Ref. [6] they provide a reliable analytical performance estimation method for the KK scheme.
