If you have already set up your OpenAthens access with OSA Publishing, you can construct either WAYFless URLs or Deep Linked URLs.

For a WAYFLess URL:

Connect these pieces to construct a URL (note that steps 3 and 4 are optional)

1. https://connect.openathens.net/osa.org/044c15ae-16d9-4f14-9c9c-5a14677c642d/login?entity=
2. {the institution's registered entityID}
3. &target=
4. {your desired destination page on OSAP site}

For example, for an institution with an entityID of https://idp.va.gov/openathens, in order to send a user to http://www.osapublishing.org/boe/abstract.cfm?uri=boe-11-4-2254, this style of WAYFless URL looks like:

https://connect.openathens.net/osa.org/044c15ae-16d9-4f14-9c9c-5a14677c642d/login?entity=https://idp.va.gov/openathens&target=http://www.osapublishing.org/boe/abstract.cfm?uri=boe-11-4-2254

For a Deep linking URL:

2. {the institution's registered entityID}
3. & target_link_uri =
4. {your desired destination page on OSAP site}

For example, for an institution with an entityID of https://idp.va.gov/openathens, in order to send a user to http://www.osapublishing.org/boe/abstract.cfm?uri=boe-11-4-2254, this style of WAYFless URL looks like:

NOTE: If you have not set up OpenAthens access for your OSA Publishing content and would like to enable access this way, please contact elec@osa.org and provide the following information:

• Your institution's name
• Institution's Entity ID
• Contact person's name
• Contact person's email
