Abstract
The model used by Dell-Imagine for his theoretical investigation of multiple scattering of coherent optical radiation by a nonabsorbing aerosol has been simulated in the experiment reported in this article. The experimental system is described, and the procedures for using this system are given. The data for two optical thicknesses and the corresponding curves of received power vs receiver field of view are exhibited. Concluding remarks include an assessment of obstacles to future research and the methods that might be used to overcome them.
