Abstract
This paper presents a simple method to focus multi-wavelength circular laser beams to elliptical spots (anamorphic) at a common waist location (achromatic) on both major and minor axes of the ellipse (anastigmatic), provided that each wavelength can be pre-shaped to appropriate waist sizes and locations. All lenses in the system are low-cost dispersive singlets and can be made out of the same material. The characteristics of Gaussian beam transformation through lenses are used to analyze how it works.
