Image Velocity Sensing with Moving Reticle Scanners

Abstract

Parallel-slit spatial filters have received attention as devices for measuring image speeds. A method of analysis is presented which shows the advantages of using moving instead of stationary filters, and which points out inherent problems associated with spatial filters and how they can be solved.
