We incorrectly calculated the Strehl ratio in Table 1 in our paper published in [Appl. Opt. 53, 3255–3261 (2014) [CrossRef]  ]. Here, we provide the correct values of the Strehl ratio. It should be mentioned that this does not change or affect any other results, techniques, or conclusions presented in the published paper.
