Abstract

A precision camera specifically intended for microphotography is used at Itek’s Lexington laboratories to make photo images used in the preparation of reticles, resolving power targets, parallel line charts, simulated high-altitude aerial photographs, microminiature circuits, strain gauges, and zone plates. The camera, developed over a period of several years, produces images up to 10 cm × 10 cm on roll film or plates. Various objectives are used to make single-stage reductions up to 1000×, although 10× to 200× reductions are more frequently used.
