Rotational Shearing Interferometer

Abstract

An interferometer with 180° rotational shear does not show rotationally symmetrical aberrations. The instrument, however, is suitable for aligning zooming laser optical systems, monitoring wavefront irregularities, and verifying beam-steering tilt directions.
