Spectral Emittance of Refractory Materials

Abstract

A method for measuring spectral emittance properties in the 2 to 15 μ region of materials heated in air to 1000°C is described. Data are presented for a number of refractory oxides, nitrides, and carbides; oxidized metals; and coated metals.
