Abstract

A low-temperature cell was designed and constructed of stainless steel to be used in the Cary model 14 spectrophotometer. The cell has been operated using solid or liquid samples at 77°K and up to 523°K at 20 atm pressure. Absorption spectra can be recorded in the near infrared, visible, and ultra-violet.
