Determination of pressure and temperature of gases by parameter fitting the FFT of an absorption line

Abstract

A fast method to determine gas state variables suitable for use on a spectrometer control PC has been developed. An analytic function representing the Fourier transform of a Voigt function is fitted to the FFT of the data of an absorption line as measured. The desired information can be calculated from the resulting parameters.
