Simple technique for designing teleconverters

Abstract

A simple technique is described for designing lens attachments such as teleconverters without prior knowledge of the lens system’s prescription. As a practical illustration of the technique the design of a ×1.3 teleextender for a 10.5–105-mm f/1.4 TV zoom system is described.
