Abstract

We present an efficient algorithm—the projection deconvolution algorithm—to reconstruct a 2-D image from the accessed incomplete spectrum data and thereby improve the image resolution. This algorithm uses a sequence of 1-D discrete deconvolution operations to process a 2-D image (or higher-dimensional signal) on their projections. This algorithm is shown to be efficient in numerical calculation. Examples of numerical results are also presented.
