Abstract

The acoustoelectrooptic effect is combined with the conventional acoustooptic spectrum analyzer. This eliminates the trade-off between the bandwidth and diffraction efficiency and the bandwidth limit of the ordinary acoustooptic spectrum analyzer. Three possible schemes for realizing this concept are proposed.
