Abstract
Ozone amounts over ~1-km paths in the lower atmosphere are determined by transmittance measurements in the solar-blind UV using a mercury lamp and radiometer. Good agreement was found between radiometric and chemiluminescence methods of ozone measurements. Predicted correlation between NOx and O3 concentrations was experimentally confirmed. The presented method has a number of important features: long-path averaging; high SNR both at day and night; high sensitivity and accuracy; flexibility of the relative. measurement.
