Abstract

Spiking oscillations were observed in a cw LiNdP4O12 (LNP) laser coupled to a slightly tilted external beam splitter. This instability has been found to be brought about by the phase-conjugate reflection resulting from the resonant four-wave mixing in the LNP crystal.
