Abstract

A shearing interferometer suitable for coherent phasing of multiple-aperture optical systems is described. The interferometer uses the properties of a rotating radial square wave grating to simplify interaperture phase measurements. A theoretical development and the results of experiments conducted at a wavelength of 10.6 μm are presented.
