Longitudinal-mode control of a CO2 TE laser by means of intracavity absorbers

Abstract

Single longitudinal mode output of a pulsed TE CO2 laser has been obtained using several different intracavity gas-phase absorbers. The method described is simple and inexpensive and appears to be extremely general.
