Abstract

This paper presents an algebraic model for cw thermal-blooming effects that is accurate enough to well represent a large wave-optics data base, simple enough to suggest some previously unnoticed universal relationships, and complete enough to allow variation of the many physical variables of interest in systems analysis exercises.
