Diffracted signals observed from a variety of film materials using high (> 0.4 J/cm2), medium (0.1–0.3 J/cm2), and low (<0.05 J/cm2) energy ruby laser pulses. The thicknesses of both the gold and silver films were 200 Å or less; the aluminum films were 100 Å or less in thickness.

Metrics
