Abstract
The correlation length of optical inhomogeneities near disclinations, produced by ultrasound in a liquid crystal cell, is measured as a function of the applied ultrasonic power by determining the spatial coherence of scattered light. Some preliminary indications about the behavior of disclination properties as a function of the ultrasonic power are obtained.
