Abstract

The making of concentric shells generally involves grinding away much valuable material—and time—to achieve a steep concave surface. Why not saw the spherical pieces? Because saws cannot section out a sphere? But they can, and here’s how….

This technique is especially interesting to those making large concentric shells and should lead to the saving of money and the conservation of valuable raw material.
