Abstract

Infrared spectroscopy of the brighter planets and stars has been performed, and sample spectra of some objects are presented; the sensitivity limit for this purpose of scanning spectrometers is discussed. The spectrometer which has been used for three years is described. Advantages of a two-beam interferometer and its sensitivity increase are also presented.
