Irradiance and angle-of-arrival fluctuations of light propagating horizontally through the turbulent and non-turbulent atmosphere

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Optical irradiance and angle-of-arrival fluctuations in the atmosphere are caused by turbulent and non-turbulent refractive-index fluctuations. This talk reviews concepts, hypotheses, approximations, observations, and computer simulations.
