Numerical Implementation of a Spatially Varying Correlation Beam: Turbulence Propagation Example

Abstract

A flexible way to generate beams with spatially varying correlation is proposed. Its application for propagation studies in atmospheric turbulence is investigated and the resulting intensity profile is compared with that from an existing approach and a theoretical counterpart.
