Abstract
An antireflection layer of Fe2O3 beneath the photoresist used to record a holographic diffraction grating on a planar waveguide has been shown to result in improved grating depth, and therefore in greater diffraction efficiency, by reducing the effects of standing waves in the film during exposure.
