Abstract

We report a mode-locked fiber laser that exploits dissipative-soliton pulse shaping along with cladding pumping for high average power. The laser generates 31nJ chirped pulses at 70MHz repetition rate, for an average power of 2.2W. After dechirping outside the laser, 80fs pulses, with 200kW peak power, are obtained.
