Abstract

The matrix inversion technique for the T-matrix method recently suggested by Petrov et al. [Opt. Lett. 32, 1168 (2007)] is not new. Their way of implementing the technique, in which Strassen’s matrix multiplication algorithm is not adopted, does not save computation time when the LU factorization technique of matrix computation theory is used.
