Experimental Demonstration of a 12.5 Gb/s Indoor Optical Wireless Communication System with Silicon Integrated Photonic Circuit

Abstract

A high-speed indoor infrared optical wireless communication system using silicon photonics integrated beam steering circuit is experimentally demonstrated. Results show that up to 12.5 Gb/s error-free operation is achieved through over 140 cm free-space distance.
