Abstract

This paper discusses a method of constructing television cameras that use image stabilization based on a direct method of measuring the image displacement relative to a photodetector array by means of two supplementary orthogonal linear photodetectors. It is shown that the proposed approach makes it possible in the parabolic approximation of the correlation function to substantially expand the range of velocities of the viewing axis for which motion distortions are masked by noise.
