Abstract

This paper proposes a setup for monitoring concave aspheric surfaces, using an axial synthesized holographic compensator with a spacing from the test surface greater than the vertex radius of curvature of this surface, and presents experimental verification that it is workable. This way of placing the holographic compensator is most convenient for monitoring concave aspheric surfaces with a moderate radii of curvature at the vertex, as is characteristic, in particular, of small-scale fast objectives.
