Abstract

Prototypes of two forms of magnetorheological polishing modules have been developed for a series of polishing–lapping machines: a one-piece form, in which the workpiece is located above the polishing tool, and a spread-out form, in which the workpiece is located under the polishing tool. The operation of the modules during magnetorheological processing of samples of optical items has been tested.
