How the interaction of the channels of a microchannel plate affects the image contrast

Abstract

This paper uses the methods of electrical-circuit theory to analyze the extent to which the resistance of the interchannel gap of a microchannel plate, as well as the resistance and location of an interchannel junction, affects the current gain in channels with resistive coupling and the image-contrast transfer.
