Abstract
A series of representative filters are analyzed from the viewpoint of frequency spectrum analysis. The conclusion is that the well-known constant-constraint criterion is ill-posed, and it is impossible to realize distortion-invariant recognition effectively with a single filter under the criterion of constant constraint.
