Abstract

The effectiveness of rims at the edges of a Fabry-Perot resonator has suggested the geometry denoted as “rimmed Cassegrain resonator” consisting of two plane-rimmed mirrors of different apertures, which constitutes a particular kind of telescopic resonator. Feasibility tests are presented based on a numerical simulation (by computer) of the performance of such a resonator.
