A Catadioptric Coronagraph Design

Abstract

A design for a solar coronagraph substantially free from chromatic image defects is presented. This design features a Mangin mirror used as both a color correcting element and a collimating lens to achieve accurate achromatic performance with good imaging properties. A computer evaluation is also presented.
