Abstract
Matched filters have been made using the standard VanderLugt technique and are addressed using an acoustooptic beam deflector to manipulate the Fourier transform of the coherent input scene with good correlation signals resulting. It may be possible to use this method to address large arrays of matched filters at high scan rates; thus providing a large optical memory which is necessary for absolute object recognition and discrimination.
