Abstract

Powdered sulfur pressings were found to have uniform and high diffuse reflectances of approximately 97–98% in the region between 1.0 μm and 2.5 μm. The reflectance and physical properties of powdered sulfur indicate that it could be used as a reflectance standard in the near ir region.
