Micro and Nanostructured Optical Fibres: Advances in Fabrication, Theory, and Emerging Applications

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Optical fibres can now be made from a broad range of glasses with cross-sectional features that range from 20 microns – 20 nanmeters. This enables access to new properties, including high nonlinearity, and enhanced interaction between light and matter.
