Abstract

Design methodology and simulation results for realizing all-fiber, discrete/broad-band mid-IR light sources within the 3 ~ 6.5 μm range are presented exploiting wavelength translation through tailoring of dispersion and non-linear properties in chalcogenide-based microstructured fibers.
