Light modulation in mictrostructured optical fibers with a ferrofluidic cladding

Abstract

Silica-core microstructured optical fibers with magnetic fluid cladding are discussed. The AC response of the magneto-optic element was observed, and polarization, amplitude, and frequency properties were studied in the fiber coupled configuration.
