Image enhancement filters for the visually impaired: a comparison of generic and customised niters.

Abstract

Generic and custom-devised image enhancement algorithms were applied to coloured images and rated by people with low vision. Adaptive enhancement, unsharp masking and contrast stretching were the most frequently preferred.
