Ultrafast spectroscopy of transparent dye-sensitized solar cells designed for the near-infrared

Abstract

We report here femtosecond transient absorption studies of a novel cyanine derivative near-IR absorbing dye incorporated in transparent solar cell devices of record efficiency, revealing dye-aggregation as the main injection yield limiting factor.
