Heteromolecular exciton delocalization and heterofission in tetracene – pentacene blends

Abstract

Singlet exciton fission in heteromolecular systems holds great potential for application in organic photovoltaics. We study tetracene:pentacene mixed films using femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy and find signs of heteromolecular interaction upon excitation of pentacene.
